Product

What are RedSpec lenses made from?

All lenses are crafted from CR-39 optical-grade resin—lightweight, scratch-resistant, and built for optical clarity.

Are your frames adjustable?

Yes. Each frame is made from premium bio-acetate and can be adjusted by most opticians for fit and comfort.

Can I wear RedSpec lenses with contacts?

Absolutely. Our lenses are designed to layer with contacts and enhance visual comfort.

Do the lenses distort color?

No. Day lenses preserve contrast and color accuracy. Night lenses intentionally shift hue to reduce overstimulation, not distort vision.

Can I wear these while using screens?

Yes. Both day and evening lenses are optimized for screen use and digital environments.

The Science

What’s the difference between the day and evening lenses?

Day lenses (yellow) filter high-energy blue light to reduce strain and sharpen focus.

Evening lenses (red) block blue and green wavelengths that suppress melatonin and overstimulate the brain at night.

Do your lenses block all blue light?

Evening lenses block approximately 77% of blue light. Day lenses filter about 45%, calibrated for daytime use without over-dimming.

How do RedSpec lenses support sleep?

By blocking the wavelengths that delay melatonin production, evening lenses help your body shift naturally into recovery and rest.

Is there clinical research behind this?

Yes. Our designs are informed by studies in circadian biology, neuroscience, and neurovisual ergonomics.

Are RedSpec lenses FDA-approved?

No. Our lenses are not medical devices and have not been evaluated or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

They are designed as wellness tools to support visual comfort, focus, and light alignment, based on independent scientific research—not as treatments for medical conditions.
